Hello Typekit

We've written about Typekit before and today we took the plunge.Typekit —a subscription-based service for linking to high-quality Open Type fonts from some of the worlds best type foundries— now supplies our site's fonts. I suppose this makes us as important as the Journal or the Times. Maybe not. But we're at least as smart as they are when it comes to having good, clean, decent looking fonts that reach cross-platform and cross browser.

We'd been keeping an eye on the foundries added lately and happened to revisit the issue of using Typekit the same day they altered their plans and opened the floodgates. Good timing! As an added bonus, our iPhone and iPad using visitors will now see this site in all its fontastic glory. No more Arial on the iPhone... dreams do come true.

Here's to you, Typekit. We're looking forward to a long relationship!

All this diversity requires a lot of flexibility. We’re focused on making Typekit as versatile as possible, so we’re removing some limitations on how you can use your account. Starting today, all Portfolio and Performance accounts can be used with unlimited websites. No matter how many domain names you own, you can use Typekit on all of them now. Use as many fonts as you like, across as many sites as you want.
