<p>New Monarchy designed; we developed. They&#8217;re using their <a title="See 'Squarespace for iPad/iPhone'" href="http://www.squarespace.com/ipad">iPhone/iPad Squarespace apps</a>&nbsp;to keep the site updated on the go, and have quite the <a title="life through the eyes of an iPhone, via New Monarchy" href="http://newmonarchy.com/image-blog/">interesting photo blog</a> running. Thanks to the stability and flexibility of the Squarespace framework, we were able to customize the look and feel while keeping the site almost entirely editable in the <a title="Learn more about real-time editing..." href="http://www.squarespace.com/the-site-builder/?associateTag=looselyrelated">WSYIWYG interface</a>. In addition to porting over hundreds of pages of content, webcasts, white papers, and more, we imported BICG's sizable <em>OracleBI Blog</em>&nbsp;blog &mdash;formerly hosted on Blogger&mdash; using SQ's <a href="http://www.squarespace.com/blog-importer/?associateTag=looselyrelated">Blog Importer</a> tool. Within minutes, every line of code, every asset, every comment, every author was duplicated and remapped on SQ's system. Using SQ's <a title="Learn more about SQ's real-time Search module..." href="http://manual.squarespace.com/modules/search.html">built-in Search engine</a>, every word ported to the new site was indexed in real-time and ready to go for users.</p>

The following is based on our experience and advice from others in the industry.</em></p>
<p>Recently I had a client with a compromised Squarespace account. There was much discussion between they, Squarespace&nbsp;support and myself about how this could happen. Squarespaceassured us that there were no breaches or hacks in their system &mdash;I have it on pretty good third-party authority that, while not completely bulletproof, Squarespace's system is solid, much more so than competing CMS solutions&mdash; leaving us looking toward password theft for answers. Based on login records it appears that someone had hijacked the administrator's password, giving the contemptible character access to vandalize the front end and cover their tracks on the back end of my client's Squarespace&nbsp;account. Scary.</p>

It reminded of my days in &ldquo;Fortune 500 World&rdquo; where the advent of BlackBerry meant I was never really off the clock. This included not just my nights and weekends but also my commute, which consisted of a 25 minute ride on the express train, a 10 minute subway schlepp under Metro DC and a three block walk to the glittering tower of Big Company. Always being one to subtly buck the well established system, however, I would use my short train ride to indulge in a definitive guilty pleasure: sleep.</p>
<p>Thus it seemed that clicking the link would provide me with a bulleted response to the all too memorable conference call with middle-management waxing on about Big Company, how we must maximize productivity for Big Company, how Big Company loves us and wants what&rsquo;s best for our families, etc. Of course there was a hat tip to so the so-called &ldquo;work/life balance&rdquo;, but the &ldquo;life&rdquo; part of that balance was solidly rooted in and stemmed from the &ldquo;work&rdquo; part.</p>]]></summary></entry></feed>
